Chesapeake Arts Center, the non-profit community art center located in Northern Anne Arundel Country is hosting its 3rd annual ‘Be the Band’ final round on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 7:30pm in the Studio 194 Theatre located at 194 Hammonds Lane, Brooklyn Park, Maryland 21225. Tickets are available for $10 at www. chesapeakearts.org or by calling the box office at 410-636-6597.
The show will feature the following 3 bands: Follow the Way, The Wayward Locals, & Marzy Maddox. The judges picked the top 3 bands after the 3rd round competition that was held at the art center on October 8, 2016. During the final round the voting will determine on the bands performance, songwriting, audience reaction and overall energy. The winner of the 3rd Annual Be The Band competition will win $1,000 and 20 hours of studio recording time at the Konexion studios in Baltimore, Maryland.
In the past, Broadneck High School Band Chasing Verity won the 1st Annual and No Capes won the 2nd Be the Band Competition. Who will win the 3rd?
The Chesapeake Arts Center (CAC) is a vibrant community art center that has nearly 70,000 visits annually through shows, art classes and community events. The CAC’s diverse programming appeals to a variety of audiences and includes performances that educate and engage dialogue about Social issues. CAC offers affordable and free arts programs to people of all ages and income levels, and is very proud to provide arts education classes and workshops for at-risk youth in the greater Brooklyn Park region.
