Navy came out strong today against the Uconn Huskies, but it seemed to be falling apart after halftime as they blew a 21 point lead. In the end, with Uconn in the lead, Navy got to work and scored to re-capture the lead. However, the Uconn offense was strong and they marched the ball to the 1 yard line in hopes of a win. With 15 seconds remaining in the game, the Navy defense did their job and held them to no gain and Uconn was defeated by the clock. Final score Navy – 28, Uconn – 24.
Will Worth, Navy’s newly minted starting QB scored two touchdowns in his debut as Navy’s starting quarterback and showed solid promise for the Midshipmen this year. The Midshipmen play Tulane next week in New Orleans.
