Michael Hughes has announced, effective October 1st, 2016, in partnership with John Brock, the formation of MH Media Strategies, a full-service marketing, and advertising firm based in Annapolis, Maryland.
For the last seven years, Mr. Hughes has served as Vice-President/General Manager of WRNR-FM Radio and RNR Digital in Annapolis. Prior to that, he spent 25 years in broadcast and digital marketing at CBS, Chancellor Media, and AMFM Inc., among others
“Building audience constituencies and leveraging that to benefit many businesses, has been my passion and the core of my career for as long as I’ve been working.“ said Hughes, “We’re looking forward to helping local and national brands build marketing plans and extending their value propositions across multiple platforms.”
One of the first projects for MH Media Strategies will be multi-level entertainment and brand-building programs for The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado. “This is an enormous opportunity for The Stanley to extend its already legendary brand.” Hughes continued.
As a member of several local boards including Annapolis Maritime Museum, Annapolis Recreation, and Parks, and Maryland Theatre for the Performing Arts, MH Media Strategies has planned that the first 100 hours will be devoted to pro bono work for a number of local charities and boards on which he serves.

Michael attended Bowling Green State University in Ohio. His wife Mary Beth, and four daughters live in Eastport/Annapolis, MD.
