During the past several weeks, the Anne Arundel County Police Homicide Unit worked diligently and tirelessly in regards to the murder of Donta Collins. Homicide detectives interviewed countless witnesses and sifted through numerous pieces of evidence as the pieces of the puzzle started to come together. As evidence was pieced together from the crime scene coupled with multiple forensic examinations of recovered evidence a suspect was identified in the slaying of Mr. Collins.
The suspect was identified as Marc Terrell Hill Jr., a twenty year old male from the 400 block of Watson Court, Glen Burnie, Maryland and was known to the victim. On Tuesday, September 13, 2016, Homicide detectives obtained an arrest warrant charging Marc Hill with the following in regards to Mr. Collin’s murder: First Degree Murder, Second Degree Murder, First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault, Handgun on a Person, and Firearm Use in a Crime of Violence.
During the early morning hours of Wednesday, September 14, 2016, several search warrants were executed in regards to the Collins homicide. The suspect, Marc Hill, was located in the 400 block of Watson Avenue, Glen Burnie, Maryland and was taken into custody without incident. As the search warrants were executed several items of evidentiary value were collected and submitted as evidence pending further examination.
