On September 22, 2016 at 10:54 p.m. officers from the Annapolis Police Department arrested Demari Crowdy, 18, of Arnold for the murder of Davon Jones.  Crowdy was arrested in Annapolis.

Crowdy is the second suspect arrested and has been identified as the shooter in the homicide of Davon Jones.  Brandon Johnson was the first suspect arrested on September 8th for his role in the murder.

“This was a heinous and senseless crime that surely disturbed our community,” said Annapolis Police Chief Michael Pristoop. “But the excellent work of our detectives led to the arrests, and we are confident justice will be served.”

“I commend our Annapolis Police Department on their continued hard work and success in fighting and solving crimes,” said Mayor Michael Pantelides.  “This is one more example of how their dedication is serving our citizens on a day to day basis.”

Crowdy has been charged with first degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a violent crime, and ten other charges related to the crime.  Both Crowdy and Johnson are being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center in connection with the murder.  Crowdy is being held without bond and Johnson is being held on $1,500,000 bond.
