The Bowie Baysox have announced the Touch-A-Truck Event presented by Miss Utility on Kids Appreciation Day at Prince George’s Stadium Saturday, Aug. 27. Fans are invited out early before the the Baysox take on the Binghamton Mets at 6:35 p.m. to see, touch, interact with and learn about service, emergency and construction vehicles.
Starting at 4:30 p.m. until the start of the Baysox game at 6:35 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27, fans will have the opportunity to see dozens of large trucks and other vehicles up close in the parking lot at Prince George’s Stadium. The main stadium gates will open early at 5:00 p.m. that evening with the first 500 kids ages 3-12 receiving a Touch-A-Truck T-Shirt courtesy of Miss Utility.
“Last year this event was a huge success and we are happy to have again partnered with Miss Utility to make this night bigger than ever,” said Baysox Assistant General Manager Phil Wrye. “Fans will be blown away when they see the sheer size of these monster vehicles up close, and that is before they get to climb inside and interact with some of them. Experiencing many of these trucks is something that is limited to children’s books, but these machines will be brought to life at P.G. Stadium during our Touch-A-Truck event.”
Kids Appreciation Day will also feature a Kids Halloween Party. All fans are encouraged to come dressed up in their favorite Halloween costumes and there will we pregame trick-or-treating for kids around the stadium. After the game, all kids can run the bases and fans can enjoy the final fireworks show of the Baysox 2016 season.
