Joey Terdoslavich had a season-best four-hit game while driving home four runs as the Baysox upended Altoona 10-8 on Friday night. The four-hit night included three doubles for Terdoslavich.
Interestingly, Terdoslavich hit each double to a different part of the field. He doubled down the left field line and scored on a Quincy Latimore RBI-single in the second inning to give Bowie a 1-0 lead. He brought home two runs with a double over the head of Altoona right fielder Stetson Allie in the third for a 4-0 lead. And Terdoslavich brought home the tenth Baysox run of the night with a drive to the left-center field gap to gain a 10-3 advantage.
The Baysox would get multi-hit nights from six players and saw Latimore homer for a second consecutive night. This time Latimore drove a line drive home run into the left field bleachers in the seventh inning to lead 9-3. The ballgame was a third time in five games that the Baysox have scored double digit runs.
Altoona battled back with a five-run eighth inning rally. They sent nine men to the plate in the frame that saw the tying runner come to the plate. In the ninth, Harold Ramirez reached on an error to open the frame. Baysox reliever Donnie Hart then retired the next three batters to win the game 10-8.
John Means got the start but had to leave after 3 and 1/3rd innings after a 45-minute rain delay. Michael Zouzalik entered and allowed just a run in 2 and 2/3rd innings for his first Eastern League win.
