Financial advisory firm CovingtonAlsina has named Deborah Cook as a partner responsible for helping clients prepare for the inevitable events that require astute financial planning and execution.
Cook brings to the role a non-traditional background as a corporate lawyer, commercial real estate professional as well as a financial planner. This experience gives her a unique position to provide clients with insight on economic trends and strategies for both maximizing wealth and preserving capital.
“Equally important to Deborah’s background is her talent for giving clients a comfort level when it comes to planning for children’s education, retirement and any other life event that creates a financial impact,” says CovingtonAlsina’s Managing Partner Ann Alsina. “When combined with her stellar reputation in the community, we couldn’t have asked for a better professional to join us.”
Cook was previously with Merrill Lynch in Annapolis, served as general counsel of commercial lender Greystone Servicing Corporation, Inc., and was the lead broker at Cook & Associates Real Estate, Inc. She holds FINRA Series 7 registrations with LPL Financial, provides advisory services through Great Valley Advisors, and is a Registered Investment Advisor, a licensed life insurance agent and a charter member of the South Anne Arundel County Rotary Club.
