Annapolis Police make arrest in Robinwood murder

This is an update on a murder in the Robinwood community of Annapolis which happened on June 26, 2017.

, 19, of Annapolis was arrested for the murder of Shawn Crowdy.

Investigation by Detectives from the Annapolis Police Department led to Boykin being identified as a suspect in this homicide.  Boykin was charged with first and second degree murder, use of a firearm in a felony or violent crime, first and second degree assault, handgun on person, and illegal possession of a regulated firearm.  Boykin is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center.     

“I commend the Annapolis Police Department for their hard work and ensuring the public safety of the citizens of Annapolis,” said Mayor Michael Pantelides.       

“This was a calculated murder in the middle of the day. The citizens of Annapolis are much safer with this individual off the streets,” said Chief Michael Pristoop of the Annapolis Police Department.  “I credit fast and thorough work of our officers and detectives.”
