The Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities, in partnership with the Senior Services Provider Group, Inc., and the Friends of Arundel Seniors, Inc. have published the 2016-2017 edition of the “Services for Seniors, Adults with Disabilities, and Caregivers.”  The free directory is released each year during May, which is Older Americans Month.  The cover of this year’s directory was created by Jennifer Jackson, who is with the Assisted Living Program for the Department of Aging and Disabilities.

Production for this directory is handled by What’s Up? Media with net proceeds from advertising sales donated to Friends of Arundel Seniors, Inc. for their home safety projects for older adults and people with disabilities.  Veronica Tovey, President and Publisher for What’s Up? Media commented, “We have been especially proud to publish Services for Seniors, Adults with Disabilities, and Caregivers.  This is a readable, accessible, and convenient place to find the solutions to many of the issues faced by Anne Arundel County’s disabled adults, senior citizens, and those who care for them.  Our local communities mean a lot to us at What’s Up? Media-They are where we work, where we live, and what we write about.  Simply, they are the reason we are here.”

Pamela Jordan, Director of the Department of Aging and Disabilities stated, “As always, this publication is an exciting opportunity to feature the vast array of services and opportunities in this community.  Our mission is to promote choice, independence and dignity for our older adults, adults with disabilities, and their families and caregivers.  The Department of Aging and Disabilities, as well as our partners, have worked very hard to give our community this resource to help achieve this mission.”
