Offense explodes early for Baysox in win

Baysox 2016Following last night’s one run win, the Baysox carried that momentum into tonight’s 7-1 stomping of the Thunder. The Baysox knocked 13 hits with six of them being for extra base hits. Despite three errors, the Baysox pitching was dominant again and did not allow a single earned run on the night.

Wade moved to third base on a Dustin Fowler fly-out and scored on a Miguel Andujar sacrifice fly to second base to make the score 1-0.

Garabez Rosa followed with a RBI single to right field and Henry Urrutia then drew a one out walk before Joey Terdoslavich brought both runs home with a double down the right field line. Chris O’Brien followed with another double to center field to plate Terdoslavich and give the Baysox a 4-1 lead.

On the first pitch Glynn Davis saw in the bottom of the second inning he sent over the left-field fence to extend the Baysox lead to 5-1.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Steve Wilkerson hit a one-out single to right field and moved to third base after a wild pitch and throwing error by Trenton catcher Sebastian Valle. With two outs, Borbon brought Wilkerson home with a double to left field to make the score 6-1.

Three hits in the bottom of the sixth frame provided an insurance run for the Baysox. Chris O’Brien hit a lead-off single to right field against Trenton reliever Caleb Smith and moved to second base on an Adrian Marin single to right field. With one out, Davis brought a run home with a single to center field to give the Baysox a 7-1 lead.
