The Londontowne Symphony Orchestra will present “Movie Music Live: The Sequel” with music from the movies of Superman, Star Trek, James Bond and others at Riva Trace Baptist Church in Davidsonville on Saturday, June 4 at 7:30 PM. Also on the program is Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 played by renowned local pianist, Dr. William Bloomquist.

Originally scheduled as a Pops Concert to end the successful 2015-2016 season of the LSO, the concerto has been added because it was on the program of the January concert that was cancelled due to the extraordinary amount of snow the area received that weekend. Patrons and orchestra members alike were so disappointed in the cancellation that it has been rescheduled for this concert. And the interpretation of the second movement by Dr. Bloomquist is worth the price of any admission.

Anna Binneweg, the Music Director/Conductor of the LSO, has scheduled A Hollywood Salute by Robert Wendel, The Best of Bond by John Barry, Superman: A Symphonic Suite by John Williams, and Star Trek Through the Years by Custer Calvin.
