CANnapolis returns for 3rd year to benefit FoodLink

CANnapolis

CANnapolisCANnapolis (“Because we CAN make a difference!”) is a summer-long canned food drive, providing area restaurants and liquor stores an opportunity to support Food Link, Anne Arundel County neighbors helping neighbors, in the fight against hunger. Last year, CANnapolis raised over 3200 pounds of food and served over 600 meals to Anne Arundel County (A.A. County) residents.

Katcef Brothers, Food Link, and radio partner WRNR Radio will begin promoting six CANnapolis events throughout the Annapolis, Severna Park, and Pasadena areas through August and will also represent at Kegs and Corks Fest this year.

Nearly 10% of our neighbors (and 18% of our children) in A.A.County are food insecure. By donating through CANnapolis you can rest assured your donation will get to those who truly need it. Food Link’s sole focus is on A.A. County, and has been for the last 25 years. Last year alone, Food Link helped residents over 400,000 times and over an estimated 8,000,000 times since 1991!

Want to help? It’s simple: Bring in nonperishable food items or a monetary donation to one of the locations listed below between June 10th and August 20th and receive special promotions. Every can of food or dollar donated will enable Food Link to continue serving Anne Arundel County, and ensure they can continue helping any of its 550,000 residents who may find themselves in need.

The six CANnapolis events and participating retailers are as follows:

  • June 24 – Eastport Liquors and Adam’s Ribs in Annapolis
  • July 8 – Dawson’s Liquors in Severna Park
  • July 22 – Bayridge Wine & Spirits and Annapolis Smokehouse & Tavern in Annapolis
  • Aug. 6 – Angel’s Food Market in Pasadena
  • Aug. 19 – Fishpaws Marketplace in Arnold
  • Aug. 20 – Kegs and Corks Fest at Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds
