Today at 2pm, the Blue Angels took to the skies over the Severn River in Annapolis, Maryland as part of the Commissioning Week festivities at the United States Naval Academy. Michael Finn was on hand for Eye On Annapolis on the USNA grounds capturing these images!
The Naval Academy Superintendent VADM Ted Carter flew in the lead solo jet (#5) today with pilot LT Ryan Chamberlain during the Blue Angels air show.
This was VADM Carter’s third time flying with the Blue Angels. He first flew with them in 1995 while he was stationed in Miramar, CA. Carter also flew with them in 2000 while he was a student at Nuclear Power School in Charleston, SC.
This is the first time that a USNA Superintendent has flown with the Blue Angels; and also, more specifically, the first time a USNA Superintendent has flown as part of the Blue Angels show at the Naval Academy.
More images to come from the opposite side of the Severn River.
