Southwest boosts service to several markets from BWI

southwestSouthwest Airlines announced today that it would add service between Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport and several markets.  The additional flights, set for the August to November 2016 period, are now available for purchase by travelers. 

“We continue working with Southwest and our other airline partners to add air service for our customers,” said Ricky Smith, Chief Executive Officer of BWI Marshall.  “These additional flights mean even more travelers can experience the convenience and value offered by Southwest and BWI Marshall Airport.”

The added Southwest flights will operate between BWI Marshall and: Denver, CO; Seattle, WA; Portland, ME; New Orleans, LA; Minneapolis, MN; and Boston, MA.

Passenger traffic at BWI Marshall has steadily increased.  New airlines and new service have been added in recent months.  Solid growth led to new all-time annual record for passenger traffic in 2015, with more than 23.8 million passengers.  Seven-straight monthly passenger traffic records have been set at BWI Marshall.
