Soggy Sunday does not keep flowers away for May Day competition

| May 1, 2016

May 1. May Day in Annapolis. May 1, 2016 saw the cancellation of many events in town including the first First Sunday Arts Festival of the season, the Maryland Avenue and State Circle May Day Festival, and the Walk for the Animals. But, it did not stop people from decorating their doors, stoops, and porches for May Day.

I strolled down Main Street and captured some of the amazing flowers.

I grew up in the area and now live in FL, but I check the local news on May Day every year and look through the beautiful pictures of flowers in Annapolis. It’s a wonderful thing you do and thanks for posting such great pictures to those of us no longer able to visit, but miss it so much.
