Think you know more than a 6th grader? You might be surprised. Find out if you do and become an oyster expert at this special event with educators at the Annapolis Maritime Museum and Annapolis Green.
Join in for a fun and educational evening where you will learn about, dissect and taste Crassostrea Virginica, aka our native Eastern Oyster.
Just like the kids do at Museum classes, you’ll learn about the beloved bivalves’ lifecycle and anatomy and a brief history of the importance of the oyster fishery in Annapolis. You’ll even be able to try your hand at shucking an oyster!
After the learning, take part in a complimentary and relaxing oyster tasting with adult beverages and the best view of the Bay in town.
