Community meeting for new Annapolis library

library cardOfficials for the Anne Arundel County Public Library (AACPL) have announced the details of a planned community meeting on the new Annapolis Regional Library project. Scheduled for June 7 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Annapolis High School, project architects and county planning officials will share the initial site plan for the new facility.

After the 45-minute presentation, attendees are invited to ask questions. Sign language and Spanish language interpreters will be available.

“We look forward to hearing from residents and library users about what they want to see in their new library,” said AACPL CEO Hampton “Skip” Auld. “We are commited to making sure that this new facility will serve the needs of all parts of the community for years to come,” he added.

If you cannot attend the meeting, you are invited to submit questions ahead of time by emailing [email protected]. Additionally, AACPL has set up a page on its website to keep the public informed about the project. Visit www.aacpl.net/new-annapolis to learn more details throughout the process.

The current Annapolis Regional Library is expected to close in Summer 2017 with the new facility scheduled to open in early 2019.
