Baysox prepare for a jam packed weekend of baseball

Baysox2016The Bowie Baysox are home Friday, May 27 through Memorial Day Monday, May 30 for a four-game homestand against the Altoona Curve. This weekend features several exciting events, including Knock Cancer Out of the Park Night and the Helicopter Candy Drop 

Giveaway Closet Cleanout, Friday, May 27 7:05 p.m. – For the first 500 fans ages 6 and older through main stadium gates only on Friday, May 27. The first 500 fans ages 6 and older will receive a random numbered card.  That numbered card determines which giveaway item that person will receive at the corresponding numbered tables on the stadium concourse. Items include: Bobble Heads, Photo Baseballs, Aprons, T-shirts and Pint Glasses. Bobble Head and T-shirt cards will have the name of a specific player or celebrity on it. Cards can be redeemed at the appropriate table to claim the giveaway item.

Knock Cancer Out of the Park, Saturday, May 28 6:35 p.m. – The Baysox have teamed with local and national cancer groups to form one huge night to raise awareness and battle the dozens of deadly forms cancer takes. There will be a pregame ceremony to honor cancer survivors and the Baysox have distributed tickets to each participating group to distribute to cancer survivors. Participating cancer awareness groups will also have tables throughout the concourse where fans can learn more about the organizations and what they do. Postgame Fireworks Show

Louie’s BIG Birthday Bash, Sunday, May 29 2:05 p.m. – Celebrate Louie’s Birthday with all of his mascot pals. Free slice of cake for all kids 12 and under – while supplies last. Louie T-Shirt Giveaway, presented by Money One Federal Credit Union, for the first 500 kids ages 3-12. Helicopter Candy Drop – After the game, all kids ages 12 and under will be invited onto the field to participate in a candy drop in the outfield. A helicopter will drop thousands of pieces of candy onto the field for kids to collect (weather permitting). 

Memorial Day, Monday, May 30 2:05 p.m. – Enjoy a special Memorial Day edition of Mutt Monday. Bring your dog to the ballgame. Dogs must be leashed at all times and have proper tags.

The 2016 Bowie Baysox season is presented by Money One Federal Credit Union. The Baysox 2016 season is underway. Don’t miss a minute of the action as the Baysox defend their 2015 Eastern League Championship. Single game tickets are now on sale at www.baysox.com.
