Woman stabbed in Annapolis domestic dispute

StabbingApproximately 1030pm on Saturday night, Annapolis Police responded to the unit block of Marcs Court for a reported stabbing.

On arrival police found an adult female suffering from a stab wound in the upper chest. The victim said she was stabbed by Alton Baker, 50, of Annapolis in a domestic assault. 

The victim was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for treatment.  Her condition is not believed to be life threatening.

Baker was arrested and charged with attempted first and second degree murder, first degree assault, three counts of second degree assault, two counts of reckless endangerment, and concealing a dangerous weapon.  Baker is being held without bond at the Jennifer Road Detention Center.
