West African and Brazilian dance and music, tonight at AACC

Anne Arundel Community CollegeExperience music and dance from West Africa and Brazil on April 8 when the Anne Arundel Community College Performing Arts Department presents a World Music and Dance Festival at 7:30 p.m. in the Humanities Building Room 112 on AACC’s Arnold campus, 101 College Parkway.

The free event features students from AACC’s world music ensembles, with special guests Axé Capoeira Maryland directed by Bayu Wicaksono and The Freedom Choir directed by Elizabeth Melvin. 

The event was organized by Chris Ballengee, Ph.D., assistant professor of music, and AACC dance student Adjetey Klufio, former principal dancer with the National Dance Company of Ghana.
