Arts Council raises more than $40K in recent fundraiser

This year’s Arts Council of Anne Arundel County Gala fundraiser, “An Evening in Venice” on March 19th raided approximately$40,000  including $2,500 to fund scholarships for young art students to attend after school art programs.

Held at the Loews’s Annapolis Hotel, the signature event included a cocktail reception, dinner, live and silent auctions plus dancing and entertainment that featured live sculptures, face painting, and an opera troubadour.  Two hundred and forty guests attended the black tie event to support the arts and historic preservation in Anne Arundel County.  Special guests for the evening included Maryland’s first lady Yumi Hogan and Annapolis Mayor Michael Pantelides. This year’s Chairman for the 18th annual gala was Sydney Lamb.

“An Evening in Venice” sponsors included: COPT Corporate Offices Property Trust , BB&T Bank,  Council, Baradel and Kosmerl,  Kagan Law Group, M&T Bank, Milison Management and Maryland LIVE Casino!
