Anne Arundel cops arrest 2 sets of brothers in separate crimes

Two sets of brothers were arrested in two separate incidents in the County.

Annapolis

On April 27, 2016 at 5:16 p.m., officers stopped to check a vehicle on the shoulder of Route 665 near Route 50. While speaking with the occupants of the vehicle, officers smelled the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted that resulted in officers recovering 10 baggies of crack cocaine (5.5g) 9 baggies of heroin (4.5g) and 2.2 grams of marijuana. Also recovered from inside the vehicle was a fully loaded .380 handgun. Both occupants were arrested and charged with CDS distribution and handgun charges.

  • Naylor, Isiah Richard 19 YOA, 400 Block of Log Inn Road in Annapolis, Maryland

 

Pasadena

A few hours earlier, on April 27, 2016 at 12:41 p.m., officers from the Eastern District responded to the 300 Block of Beach Ave. for a robbery. Upon arrival, they met with the victim who advised that he was assaulted by two brothers and one of them used brass knuckles during the assault. The suspects took an undetermined amount of US currency from the victim and fled the area.

One of the responding officers was familiar with the suspects and directed officers to a residence in the 400 Block of Riverside Drive where Suspect 1 was located. He was arrested after a brief foot pursuit. Suspect 2 was located by officers on Beach Road and placed under arrest. The victim did not sustain any notable injury during the robbery. Both suspects were charged with armed robbery, robbery, 1st degree assault, and 2nd degree assault.
