Annapolis Police investigating Annapolis Harbormaster’s office, harbormaster fired

HarbormasterThe Baltimore Sun is reporting that the Annapolis Police have launched a criminal investigation into the Annapolis Harbormaster’s Office. The City has confirmed that two employees, the Harbormaster and his Deputy have been terminated and removed from the City’s websites and communications channels.

JP “Flip” Walters was the Harbormaster and a long time employee of the City. He was hired in 2006 and Mayor Michael Pantelides had named him Acting Director of Recreation and Parks after the former Director, Brian Woodward, abruptly resigned the position.

The Deputy, William Brookes had been an employee since 2011.

The Annapolis Police Department is not releasing any information at this time and City Hall is remaining quiet as well.

The City Council will hold a CLOSED meeting on Monday to discuss the situation.

More info will be provided as we learn it.
