Annapolis Beer Week wrapping up today with Maryland Wing & Beer Festival

IMG_8702Today marks the end of Annapolis Beer Week and they are going out with a bang. Hurry to the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds for the Annual Maryland Wing & Beer Festival featuring more than 100 flavors of wings, 70 different (and rare) brews and more!  This is a family friendly event with children’s games and lot’s of beer and wings!

Annapolis Beer Week presents a series of events in the area that raise funds for various local charities and non-profits. The wing fest will benefit the scholarship program at the YMCA Camp Letts in Edgewater that brings disadvantaged youth to spend a week at a summer camp along the banks of the Rhode River.

Other beneficiaries of the various events were MS Busters, the Anne Arundel County SPCA, Box of Rain,  and Foundation for Community Betterment. All together, ABC Events who puts the event together will donate more than $20,000 to help out local causes.

But for now….head up to the fairgrounds and check it out. $10 admission–kids are free and it goes until 7pm.

My choices?   Check out the “hot” from Nando’s Peri Peri (who knew?), the bourbon sriracha and bacon one from Pirates Cove (again, who knew??), and any of the choices from The Hideaway or Stan and Joe’s Saloon—and a special shout out to SnJ’s bloody marys!
