Early this morning (approximately 415am) much of Eastport was awakened by 30 or more gunshots. The shots seemed to have originated near the Harbor House public housing community.  Neighbors reported hearing more than 30 shots and an immediate police presence in the community yet no victims have apparently been found.

One local resident discovered a bullet hole in her living room wall and found that her home had been hit by three bullets.

The Annapolis Police Department has not released any official information on this incident; however from neighbors, officers believe it was a “running gunfight” between two individuals. We will update as more is known.

The Harbor House and Eastport Terrace communities have been recently plagued with violence and gunfire. The City has said that they will take steps to curb it, yet any success seems elusive.
