Southwest Airlines has announced that it would add one daily roundtrip flight to a number of markets served from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. The additions will be part of a summer schedule update from the airline, starting June 5.
From Sunday through Friday, Southwest will add BWI Marshall flights to: Denver, CO; Hartford, CT; Manchester, NH; Oakland, CA; Orlando, FL; and Tampa, FL.
On Saturdays, the airline will increase service to Hartford, CT; Nashville, TN; Orlando, FL; Seattle, WA; and Tampa, FL.
“We welcome these new Southwest flights, which will offer BWI Marshall passengers more travel options,” said Ricky Smith, Chief Executive Officer for BWI Marshall. “Southwest continues to provide outstanding customer service and low fares for our customers.”
Last month, Southwest announced it would add daily service between BWI Marshall and Sacramento, CA starting in August. The new transcontinental flights from Southwest would be the only year-round service between Sacramento and the Washington-Baltimore region.
Southwest Airlines is the largest carrier at BWI Marshall. The airline served more than 16.8 million passengers at BWI Marshall in 2015.
