I Yahn I Arkestra to play Metropolitan this weekend!

Metropolitan Kitchen & Lounge will be hosting I Yahn I Arkestra w/ HR of Bad Brains and Chuck Treece of McRad. If you don’t know much about them here is a little background: HR has released numerous records with SST Records. He is the guitarist to Bad Brains and has been described in interviews like Village Voice as going crazy on stage like “James Brown”, he’s even been known to throw a few back flips on stage. He’s been on headlining tours such as DIA Records “Global Rock Showcase Tours”. HR’s Performance have become a lot more mellow in the recent years, focusing more on the reggae feel of is performance.

Chuck Trees is another reason to make it out to this show! He’s not only a session musician, but also a professional skateboarder from Philadelphia. He’s been known for starting the 1980’s punk rock band McRad, remixed songs for artists such as Amy Grant and Sting, plauing the bassline for Bill Joel, filling in on drums for Pearl Jam, and touring with Urge Overkill and Bad Brains.

These two talented people will be joining the stage with | Yahn | Arkestra. Their band hits you with a straight Reggae, Psychedelic Dub.Experience the eternal heartbeat underneath cosmic jams led by Arkestra founders Ras Jah D and wife Kaseopia-both of whom have spent their lives in livication of wholistic living, love of humanity and the study of healing through earth traditions and ancient cultures.

Always independent, self-recorded and self-produced, the Arkestra is music with a message, guaranteed to uplift every soul.
