The Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce (AAACCC) announced today that Dennis Murphy, President and Broker of Murphy Commercial Real Estate, has been elected 2016 AAACCC Board of Directors Chairman.
“Dennis is a very successful business person with the added experience of working in the association industry at the Greater Washington Board of Trade early in his career,” said AAACCC President & CEO, Bob Burdon. “His leadership will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position of Board Chair for the Chamber of Commerce.”
Before starting his own firm, Mr. Murphy was the Managing Partner of Murphy Hogan Commercial Real Estate Services and the former President of Smithy Braedon/ONCOR International, one of the largest privately owned Commercial Real Estate firms in the Greater Washington area. “My goals for the coming year are to continue to grow our countywide membership base with key stakeholders, facilitate collaboration on key issues affecting business and help create a vibrant local economy,” said Murphy. “I am honored to serve in this capacity for one of the largest Chambers in Maryland, and I look forward to working with the staff, the board leadership and our members to serve as the voice for the County’s business community.”
