When an enchanted kingdom and the fairest princess in the land fall prey to the ultimate mistress of evil, the fate of all rests in the hands of a small band of fairies and one courageous young prince. The spirited group battles an evil witch, her minions, demon princes and a fire breathing dragon in an epic quest to free The Sleeping Beauty and her kingdom. With spectacular action, breathtaking beauty of pageantry and the magical power of love, The Sleeping Beauty has something for everyone.

BTM’s exciting new spin on The Sleeping Beauty promises to amalgamate the best of traditional ballet alongside the exciting elements of fairytale magic to bring this beloved tale to life. Nicole Kelsch, BTM Principal Dancer stars at the spirited Princess Aurora-Rose. The role of the Dark Fairy Carabosse is performed by Alyssa Johnson-Taylor; Alexander Collen performs as the Courageous Prince.

“Since its premier in 1890, The Sleeping Beauty ballet has been presented numerous times, yet no two productions have ever been done exactly the same way. Our version will be set in Medieval England spanning the end of the Peasant’s Revolt to the end of the War of the Roses.”

Performances at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts are February 19th at 7:30 pm, 20th at 7:00 pm and 21st at 2:00 pm. One hour prior to the matinée performance on the 21st, meet the princesses and her fairy godmothers, sample delectable treats and experience fun fairytale activities at our Princess Tea Party. The Princess Tea Party is free with ticket purchase.
