AACC Kids in college carpentryLearn about all the fun your children can have this summer at the open house for Anne Arundel Community College’s Kids in College program from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, in the Cade Center for Fine Arts Room 219 on AACC’s Arnold campus, 101 College Parkway.

The open house previews the new and traditional favorite camps that students from kindergarten to high school can enjoy. The college has added a number of camps, from new ways to create art to foraging in nature to robotic and engineering-based camps. In one of the new camps, “Radio and Resistors,” campers build their own AM/FM radio to take home. In another, “Robot Builders,” first-and second-graders use the LEGO® Mindstorms system to develop robots. In “Zentangle® Summer Adventure,” middle- and high-school campers use a drawing technique that creates patterns for unique artwork.
