Police helicopter spots three suspects in Game Stop heist

On 1/17/2016 at approximately 6:08 pm Officers responded to a holdup alarm from a source at the Game Stop store in Severna Park.  Officers were getting broadcasts about the suspect’s location.  Officers began canvassing the area but could not locate the suspect vehicle.  Officers responded to the Game Stop and determined that a theft had just occurred.  Three black male suspects entered the Game Stop and took several Xbox and PlayStation consoles.

The County Police Air Unit located what they believed to be the suspect vehicle on Route 50 driving with its lights out.  The vehicle entered Prince Georges County and the occupants bailed/exited out fleeing on foot.  The Air Unit was able to direct AACO Police K9, State Police Troopers and PGCO Police to the locations where the suspects were last seen.  One was apprehended shortly after they fled from the vehicle.  Two were apprehended in a residence that they ran into.  The vehicle and the video game systems were recovered.  The vehicle was towed to the AACO Police Evidence Collection Unit for processing. The three suspects were transported to AACO Police Eastern District and were interviewed by Detectives.  All three suspects were charged with Theft over $1000.00 and other related charges. Over $3000.00 in stolen property was recovered.
