The Conference Center at the Maritime Institute (CCMIT) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jill Porter as Assistant Director of Sales. She had previously been Manager of Sales for CCMIT. In her new role, Porter will support Brian Senft, Director of Sales, in the development and execution of CCMIT’s marketing strategy and in staff development activities. In addition, she will continue to assist maritime and other trade unions with their training and conference needs and will add Sports Marketing to her portfolio.
“Jill has been a great asset to the organization, and we look forward to her continued contributions in her new role,” said Daniel O’Malley, General Manager of CCMIT. “Her knowledge of meeting and conference center operations and of independent facility branding uniquely positions her and CCMIT for long-term success.”
O’Malley also announced the hiring of Bethe Brekke as Sales Manager for Religious and Educational groups, Lorraine Cornish as Sales Manager for Corporate and Social organizations, and Taffy Rice as Sales Telemarketing Associate. They will join the existing conference sales team, which includes Denise Shannon, Sales Manager for Associations and Government; Crystal Mitchell and Rachel Geise, Conference Planning Managers; and John Krikorian, the newly appointed Director of Conference Operations.
The Conference Center at the Maritime Institute (CCMIT) is set on a serene 80-acre campus with over 100,000 square feet of meeting space and 232 refurbished hotel rooms.
