Glen Burnie High : Teens for Jeans 2016

teensjeansGlen Burnie High School Alumni Tyler Johns (18) is continuing the tradition of giving back, for the second year in a row.

Teens for Jeans encourages young people to run a gently-used jeans drive in their school or community to provide jeans for youth experiencing homelessness. To date, the campaign has collected over 4.3 million pairs of jeans.

Last year, Tyler and his team, in collaboration with Shooting Star Studios and Marley Station Mall launched a benefit concert, which helped Glen Burnie High School become the school with the most donations on the east coast.

Tyler, is hoping with the help of the community- to duplicate those results, this year.

This year’s concert will take place on February 6th, from 1-3pm in Marley Station Mall’s Center Court- the show is free, but jean collections are greatly appreciated, not just by Show Organizers, but by the local area homeless- the recipients of the donated jeans.

Performers include, Local musicians and the Glen Burnie High School Dance Company.
