Witnesses reported that the Honda Accord, operated by Brian Earle Galloway, 24, of Churchton, was traveling westbound on Friendship Road at a very high rate of speed.

They observed that suddenly the vehicle spun out, crossed the centerline, left the roadway, and rolled into the trees. The single occupant/driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. The driver succumbed to his injuries while being transported to Shock Trauma via Maryland State Police medivac.

Preliminarily, the cause of the crash was the driver’s failure to remain in a single lane. A contributing circumstance was excessive speed but alcohol does not appear to be involved.
