6:40am #Snowzilla update from City of Annapolis

Annapolis Mayor Michael Pantelides reminds residents to stay off the roads and be aware that the blizzard conditions are expected in the Annapolis area throughout this evening.

A Blizzard Warning remains in effect until 6 a.m. Sunday, January 24, with a High Wind Warning in effect until 7 p.m. tonight. Winds are expected to be out of the North at 25-35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.

Annapolis Transit services and parking enforcement are suspended for Saturday, January 23.  

The Pip Moyer Recreation Center and the Stanton Center are also closed Saturday, January 23 and Sunday, January 24 with all recreation programs and rentals cancelled.

As of this morning, 13 inches of snow has been reported in the Annapolis area and Public Work crews continue to focus on clearing Snow Emergency Routes to keep them passable.
