The 2016 Bosom Buddies Ball will be held on January 9 at the Annapolis Westin Hotel at 5:30 pm. The Ball will be in celebration of Bosom Buddies Charities’ tenth anniversary and to honor Super Heroes in the fight against breast cancer.
The 2016 Ball Honoree is Aileen Carlucci, a six-year breast cancer survivor, who has embraced the mission of Bosom Buddies Charities, which is to promote breast cancer awareness, encourage early detection, support treatment and celebrate healing.
Bosom Buddies Charities is pleased to announce that the RC Group is the Premier VIP Sponsor of the Ball this year. The RC Group is a hospitality management company with corporate headquarter in Annapolis, Maryland. The company owns and operates Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut and Long John Silver restaurants in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia and Georgia.

Over the past 10 years, through its fundraising efforts, Bosom Buddies Charities has raised over $1.5 million, which has been awarded through grants to local organizations to aid them in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of breast cancer. Bosom Buddies Charities was founded by Susan Ponchock who, after surviving the diagnosis of an aggressive type of breast cancer, wanted to help others who had been diagnosed with breast cancer to obtain the very best advice and treatment. She gathered 20 powerful women from our local communities who shared a personal connection to breast cancer. They quickly embraced Susan’s vision, and Bosom Buddies Charities was born.
The Bosom Buddies Ball is the charity’s main fundraiser. The Ball is an elegant black-tie affair that features a top-notch band, dancing ’til dawn, a five-star gourmet dinner, and extraordinary silent and live auctions. The honorary co-chairs of the 2016 Ball are First Lady Yumi Hogan and Monica Rutherford. The Ball has become a “must attend” event for a sell-out crowd. Tickets are $250 per person.
