AnnapolisPoliceAre you looking for a volunteer position a little different from the rest?  Do you have an interest in law enforcement or learning more about law enforcement?  The Annapolis Police Department is seeking motivated, civic minded individuals who are interested serving as Auxiliary Officers.

Auxiliary officers are not sworn police officers and are not armed.  They support the department by assisting our police officers with traffic control, parking enforcement, special events, and civilian fingerprinting.  Auxiliary officers also serve as additional eyes and ears for the department.

There will be an Auxiliary Officer Open House held at the Annapolis Police Department at 199 Taylor Avenue on Tuesday, January 5th from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

For more information about the Auxiliary Unit go to our website at and click on Auxiliary Unit from the menu on the left hand side of the web page.  You can also contact Captain Cynthia Howard at 410-268-9000 or email with your questions.
