Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Scholarship Trust announced MLK scholarship

Scholarship TrustIn celebration of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast Committee’s 35th Anniversary, a scholarship will be awarded to an Anne Arundel County student in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s life and his legacy of service and social justice. The scholarship will be awarded for a period of four years, or the length of the course, up to a maximum of $800/semester ($6,400/4 years). 

The scholarship will also include a one-to-one mentor provided by the Annapolis Trust and access to the Annapolis Trust’s Mentor Network for the length of the student’s enrollment and as an alumni.


– An Anne Arundel County high school student with scheduled high school graduation of 2016

– A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

– A demonstrable commitment to social justice, community service, leadership or cultural awareness
