PHOTOS: Navy Football bowl bound, Keenan Reynolds one step closer to record in defeat of South Florida
Navy defeated University of South Florida on Halloween 29-17 in a hard fought game that saw Navy trailing early in the game and continually behind the South Florida Bulls until deep in the 4th quarter.
QB Keenan Reynolds, 1st Class Midshipman scored twice in the fourth quarter to tie the NCAA record for rushing touchdowns, tied with former Wisconsin RB, Montee Ball.
With this 6th win, the Midshipman have secured another bowl spot (their 12th out of the past 13 years) and are contractually slated to play in the Military Bowl in Annapolis on December 28th. However, if they end up winning the American Athletic Conference championship on December 5th, they may find themselves in a New Years Day Bowl– either the Fiesta Bowl or the Peach Bowl.
But before that they have 5 more game with #15 ranked Memphis (8-0) up next weekend, followed by SMU at home on the 14th, Tulsa on the 21st, Houston (8-0) on the 27th, and the Army-Navy Game in Philadelphia on December 12th.
Stay tuned, this is turning out to be an incredible season.
