Londontowne 3 photo Michael G. StewartThe LSO’s twelfth season continues with the orchestra’s third annual Halloween Concert, “Spooky Sounds and Haunted Harmonies”, at South River High School in Edgewater on Saturday, October 24, at 7:00 PM.

The concert features Rafael Javadov on the electric violin playing Tartini’s Devil’s Trill; and also includes Prokofiev’s “Montagues and Capulets” from Romeo and Juliet, Ibert’s Snake Charmer, Holst’s Mars, Stravinsky’s Infernal Dance, and Mussorgsky’s Gnomes, Catacombs, Baba Yaga, and Great Gate from “Pictures at an Exhibition”.

The LSO is partnering with Admiral Cleaners’ “Call for Coats” program by being a drop point for new and used coats for those in need. For more than 20 years this community wide appeal has brought in thousands of coats each year, and the LSO is proud to be involved in this beneficial program. All patrons are encouraged to bring to the concert their coats that no longer fit or that are rarely worn. Drop boxes will be in the lobby.

This popular family concert continues the LSO’s tradition of Halloween concerts, and will prove to be a worthwhile and entertaining event. Students are always FREE, General Admission tickets are $20 and Seniors are $15.
