California_Pizza_KitchenCalifornia Pizza Kitchen (CPK), the authority in creative dining with a California vibe, will host a free lunch for customers at its Annapolis location on Monday, Oct. 19 from 11:00am to 1:30pm to raise funds for Make-A Wish Mid-Atlantic. With a goal of raising $5,000 in just two and a half hours, Annapolis will donate the funds raised to Make-A-Wish in an effort to help grant a wish for a local child who is battling a life-threatening medical condition.

Rather than accepting payment for the lunch, CPK is encouraging guests to make a monetary donation in the amount of their choosing in the form of cash, check or credit card with 100 percent of the proceeds going directly to Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic.

This special one-day fundraising campaign will also take place simultaneously at six other CPK locations across the Mid-Atlantic as part of the brand’s overall national partnership with Make-A-Wish® and Round it Up America®.

“We’re proud to be supporting Make-A-Wish and serving meals alongside first responders to help raise funds for this incredible organization,” said Brian Johnson, regional partner for CPK’s Mid-Atlantic region. “If you’re in a position to give any amount, we encourage you to join us for lunch and help us reach our goal of being able to grant a wish for kids in seven communities across the Mid-Atlantic.”

“We are so grateful for the generosity of corporate partners here in our region like CPK who are dedicated to helping make local wishes come true,” said Laura Caldwell, Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic President and CEO. “This CPK fundraiser is a wonderful example of how businesses can activate their customers and have a tangible impact in the lives of local kids.”

Please note that the free lunch will include the choice between a personal size Margherita Pizza or a Waldorf Salad, along with bread and olive oil (no alcohol will be served and no other menu options will be available during the fundraiser time frame).
