Broadway actor Brian Keith MacDonald is the mysterious Edgar Allan Poe, father of modern detective fiction, pioneer of the science fiction tale, a misunderstood genius, a visionary and a man of contradiction and vice.

In Poe, the title character reveals his psychological demons and takes us on a journey of the heart, mind and soul through his struggles and passions and the loss of his greatest love and muse, played by ASC resident company member Renata Plecha.

An intimate venue, an intricate script, an inventive production, and a superb cast.

Enjoy a three course prix fixe dinner, and witness Poe’s last moments in the Reynolds Tavern. The production runs Tuesdays and Wednesdays now through Wednesday, November 25th. Tickets are $75. Advance tickets required. For tickets visit https://web.ovationtix.com/trs/pr/949759

Broadway actor Brian Keith MacDonald stars as Edgar Allan Poe and explains what has him excited about this role, “the challenge of tackling an original script that’s never been done before is exciting!  This professionally produced new work contains such intensity and complexity. Nothing I’ve ever worked on before has been like Poe.”

Renata Plecha talks about her roles in the production, “I love that I get to play so many different characters. I play a barmaid from Baltimore in the 1800’s as well as Virginia Eliza Poe, who appears in flashbacks as well as in Poe’s dreams. These visions are vivid and tell a great story of passion, love, confusion, and immense grief.”
