Police now classifying shooting as murder in Annapolis, victim identified

Anne Arundel County police are now classifying the shooting that occurred last night in the Bay Highlands neighborhood as a homicide pending confirmation from the State Medical Examiner.

Shannon BlairAfter further investigation detectives are preliminary calling this case an homicide until OCME can indeed confirm.  The victim has been identified as 29 year old Shannon Blair Jr.  At this time, detectives are advising that the wounds to Mr. Blair’s upper body appear to apparent gun shot wounds however that will also will need to be confirmed by the OCME.

Blair, while from the Annapolis area, is not from the community where he was found, so detectives continue investigate as to why he was in that area. Detectives continue to conduct interviews and will be further examining the scene to attempt to locate evidence.
