Edgewater traffic stop leads to drug bust

On September 24, 2015, officers from the Southern District were conducting traffic enforcement in the area of South River Clubhouse Road, Edgewater, Arundel County, Maryland 21401. At approximately 4:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle. As a result of the traffic stop and subsequent investigation, approximately, 227.3 grams of marijuana, 3 oxycodone pills, 1.08 grams of heroin, 21.5 grams of hashish oil, $4,230.00 in U.S. currency, and various types of CDS paraphernalia was seized. The total approximate street value of controlled substance seized was $7,289.00.

Charges: Possession with Intent to Distribute CDS: Marijuana

Possession of CDS: Not Marihuana
