Annapolis Towne Centre merchants raise $1900 for SPCA

annapolis-towne-centreIt was a three-dog night on August 28th at the Annapolis Towne Centre as Rocky the Labrador along with toy poodles Wiley and Trouble won hearts and encouraged ticket sales at the 2nd Annual Rockin’ Raffle for SPCA, bringing in $1925 in a few hours.

The 4-legged SPCA ambassadors were on hand as volunteers from organizing merchant Cleo’s Fine Oils & Vinegars sold $1 raffle tickets during a free concert by 80s tribute band The Reagan Years. Four lucky ticket holders won gift cards, services and merchandise from select Annapolis Town Centre merchants, with each prize package worth a minimum of $400.

“We were thrilled by the generosity of ATC merchants, the support of The Reagan Years band and the way folks opened their wallets for such a great cause,” said Saleta Cameron of Cleo’s Fine Oils. “The SPCA receives no government funding and relies exclusively on private donations to keep their doors open, and the people at Friday’s concert stepped up in a big way. We look forward to doing this again next year!”
