As it prepares to celebrate its 25th anniversary next month, the Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Conference and Visitors Bureau’s (AAACCVB) Board of Directors voted in a new slate of officers during its most recent board meeting at the AAACCVB’s 26 West Street offices.
Serving as officers on the AAACCVB’s Board of Directors for fiscal year 2016 are: AAACCVB Board Chairman Erin McNaboe, President, Rams Head Group; Vice-Chairman Carol Benson, Executive Director, Four Rivers: The Heritage Area of Annapolis, London Town & South County; Treasurer Robert Clark, President & CEO, Historic Annapolis, Inc.; Secretary Eric Ruden, Deputy Athletic Director, Naval Academy Athletic Association; Immediate Past Chairman Anthony Clarke, Owner/General Manager, Irish Restaurant Company.
Additional Executive Committee members include: Annapolis Mayor Michael Pantelides; Anne Arundel County Executive Steve Schuh’s representative, Alan Friedman; Government Affairs Chairman Lou Zagarino, Director, University of Maryland/Baltimore-Washington Medical Center Board; Marketing Chairman Willie Wright, General Manager, BWI Airport Marriott; and AAACCVB President and CEO Connie Del Signore.
New AAACCVB Board Members for FY 2016 include: Sally Comport, Principal, Art at Large, Inc.; Michael Hughes, Vice President/General Manager, Empire Broadcasting System/WRNR Radio; Rob Norton, President and General Manager, Maryland Live Casino; Jim Piccoli, General Manager, Westin Annapolis; Brian Riddle, President, Homestead Gardens; and Lauren Russell, Vice President & Creative Director, Maine Cottage.
Del Signore and McNaboe kicked off the first board meeting of the fiscal year by welcoming members of the AAACCVB’s newly created Chairman’s Advisory Committee. Del Signore says the committee comprised of 17 private and public sector visionaries was created to invite a broader exchange of ideas between the AAACCVB and leaders in the community.
Members of the Chairman’s Advisory Committee will join the AAACCVB Board for two of the Board’s quarterly meetings — the first of which took place on August 25. The second is slated for February 23, 2016.
