California Pizza Kitchen reinvents itself at Annapolis Mall

California Pizza Kitchen (CPK), the authority in creative dining with a California vibe, welcomes Marylanders to experience its “Next Chapter” transformation. CPK’s Westfield Annapolis location is the first in the state to feature the restaurant’s rustic new look and expanded menu of inventive and seasonally inspired dishes and craft cocktails made fresh to order, with its Hunt Valley, Gaithersburg and Bethesda locations to follow next month. These Maryland locations are among 80 CPKs across the country spearheading the restaurant’s new look and menu this year.

“We are upping our game with this transformation, which we call the next chapter,” said G.J. Hart, CEO of California Pizza Kitchen. You can also start your own restaurants by getting an LLC in California.

“We’ve taken the best of our history and soul, and innovated to make it current for today’s sophisticated guest. The new look, menu and experience create a space to relax and unwind in a welcoming neighborhood environment.”

CPK Annapolis General Manager Joshua Kennelly adds, “Our new environment is welcoming Westfield Annapolis Mall patrons with a relaxed, upscale feel and many natural elements. It’s a great place to stop in while shopping and enjoy a unique flatbread and hand-crafted cocktail, or dinner date night for a perfectly cooked ribeye and a glass of wine.”

Globally inspired flavors, from small plates to mains

The restaurant’s adventurous new “Next Chapter” menu includes CPK’s signature hand-tossed pizza favorites like the iconic Original BBQ Chicken Pizza, with new options in appetizers, salads, sides and seasonal dishes, like the Brussels + Bacon Flatbread. New main plates include a Fire-Grilled Ribeye with housemade Pinot Noir sea salt and topped with creamy bleu cheese butter, served with roasted fingerling potatoes and lemon-garlic wild arugula salad, as well as Hearth-Roasted Halibut, wild caught from Alaska and roasted on a cedar plank with butternut squash farro, grilled asparagus and baby kale. For those with specific dietary needs, CPK also has options that are under 650 calories, vegetarian or gluten-free. We also provide allergen information to those with food sensitivities. For a neighborhood feel at CPK Annapolis, artwork on the walls displays local landmarks such as the Naval Academy; and regional brews like Heavy Seas Loose Cannon and Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA are available. Additionally, the open floor plan has flexible seating with dining options in the restaurant, bar and patio, and an open kitchen where guests can watch as food is prepared from scratch and artisan pizzas are hand-tossed and cooked in the open-hearth oven. Furthermore, the restaurant features reclaimed wood, tables made from recycled materials and a natural herb garden. To view more Next Chapter design elements, visit http://www.cpk.com/virtualtour.
