Baysox to host Chris August on Faith Day

Baysox_WebAd_300x250_050614The Bowie Baysox are home Friday, Aug. 7 through Thursday, Aug. 13 for a seven-game homestand against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats and Richmond Flying Squirrels. This weekend features several exciting events, including Faith Day and a second Paint in the Park Night

Family Campout, Friday, Aug. 7 7:05 p.m. – Join in all of the fun with the Baysox annual Family Campout. Sleep under the stars at Prince George’s Stadium after enjoying that evening’s Baysox game and postgame fireworks show. Fan will be able to bring their camping gear onto the field and enjoy a family movie on the stadium videoboard. Box seat tickets are available for $10 on www.baysoxshop.com and food voucher options are also available. Pre-registration is required for this event. 

Glow in the Park Night, Saturday, Aug. 8 6:35 p.m. – The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive glow sticks and have the opportunity to be part of a spectacular postgame fireworks show where we make Prince George’s Stadium glow! Summer Reading Night – Kids who participated in their local county library Summer Reading Program received a free ticket to Saturday’s Baysox game, presented by Educational Systems Federal Credit Union.

Faith Day, Sunday, Aug. 9 2:05 p.m. – The Baysox will host a post-game concert performed by Chris August, presented by WGTS 91.9 FM at Prince George’s Stadium. Chris August is an up and coming Contemporary Christian Artist who has released three albums. The postgame concert is free to everyone who attends Sunday’s Baysox game. Fans will be allowed into the right field grass during the concert. Pirates & Ninjas Day with “Captain Manny” Machado bobblehead giveaway for the first 1,000 fans ages 13 and older. There will be appearances by the Teenage Mutant Ninjas Turtles and Captain Jack Sparrow and fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite pirate or ninja character.

Mutt Monday, Aug. 10 7:05 p.m. – Fans can bring their four-legged friends to every Baysox Monday home game. Dogs are free but must have up-to-date tags and must remain leashed throughout the game.

Paint in the Park Night, Tuesday, Aug. 11 7:05 p.m. – Join the talented instructors from Wine & Canvas Baltimore for a fun evening of painting and baseball with the Baysox. Order online at www.baysoxshop.com.  Dollar Dog Night – Hot dogs are $1 at the first base main concession stand from the time stadium gates open at 6:00 p.m. until the end of the fourth inning (limit two per person, per transaction). Tailgate Tuesday – Fans can watch batting practice, play cornhole, enjoy live music and partake in $2 draft beer specials in the Bud Light picnic pavilion from 5 to 7 p.m.

Military Appreciation Night, Wednesday, Aug. 12 7:05 p.m. – Fans can receive $8 box seat tickets with proof of military service. Ticket offer available only at the ticket office the day of the game. Wear Orange Wednesday – Show off your Baysox or Orioles pride with team gear and save $5 at the box office the day of the game.

American Muscle Night, Thursday, Aug. 13 7:05 p.m. – Arrive early for the Baysox Car Show in the parking lot before the game. There will also be an Arm Wrestling Tournament on the concourse during the game.

Baysox Baseball – We’ll Knock Your ‘Sox Off. The Baysox 2015 season, their 23rd as the class Double-A Affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, is underway at Prince George’s Stadium.
