Annapolis Maritime Antiques celebrates one year

home-1Just over a year ago, Annapolis Maritime Antiques opened its doors at 128 Severn Ave in Eastport, after operating out of a very large shed in Shady Side for about four years. It was an instant hit with the neighbors, many of whom said the store was a perfect fit and something they had been looking for. Some of the first customers of the retail store were folks that only lived within a few blocks.

With all the shiny brass and copper antiques that line the shelves, it often surprises customers to learn that the furniture is what sells the most. In fact, the furniture is what Annapolis Maritime Antiques really specializes in, and is created by a dedicated crew of talented woodworkers.  The business receives orders for its custom WWII Liberty ship hatch cover tables and benches from all over the United States.

The latest creation to be added to the furniture showroom is the portable hatch cover home bar. This elegant and historic piece is the perfect addition to a family room or porch. For a larger bar, Annapolis Maritime Antiques’ staff can actually make a visit to a customer’s home, measure the space, and install a built-in bar made from the same rare hatch covers used to make the popular tables and benches.

For the nautical antique collector or history buff, Annapolis Maritime Antiques is the perfect one-stop shop for decorating a Home by the Sea.
